How location permissions work

Location is used to show you what is nearby and to place a point accurately when you add one. The app still works if you do not grant it.

What location is used for

To show pins, listings and businesses around you.
To place the point accurately when you add a pin or post a lost pet listing.
To let you update a pin's content: the update only unlocks within 150 metres of the pin.

If you do not grant it

The app does not stop you. On the home screen it says Yakınındakileri göstermek için konumunu aç ya da şehrini seç (turn on location or pick your city), and you can continue by choosing a city. When posting a lost listing it says location permission was not granted and sends you to pick the spot on the map.

No background tracking

Location is used only while the app is in the foreground, while the map is open or while you are adding a point. There is no continuous tracking in the background.

Animal locations are blurred

Locations related to animals are shown blurred on the map. That protects both the animal and the person who reported it.

Changing permissions later

You can see the permissions you granted under Ayarlar › Uygulama İzinleri (app permissions), and change them from your phone's system settings.
